The people are a bit distracting. Maybe a longer lens with a larger aperture could solve that? Also, try to shoot him as head on as you can.

can't even begin to imagine how hard it must be shooting sports. the fuckers keep moving around, haha. can't offer any advice as i know nothing of the world of cameras and recently lost my digicam :(. I like this shot though, as someone said before; looks intense.
